We have read how Cu Chulainn has a strong desire to be a hero and have his name remembered, but we also see his loyalty to Conchobar and Ulster. Knowing this, do you think he is more like Achilles or Hector?

We have read about the dice game that takes place in The Mahabharata between Yudhisthra and Sakuni, my question is: Why do you think Yudhisthra's brothers did not try to stop Yudhisthra when he was going to wager them in the dice game knowing that Sakuni was cheating and they would likly be lost?

The Choices of the Iliad

In the text we read about how Achilles is consumed by his anger towards Agamemnon and refuses to enter the war. He rejects everyone who tries to compel him into joining the war. Even after many tries Achilles continues to hold on to his anger and resentment. With this being said, do you think that if Patroclus had lived instead of being killed in battle, Achilles would have eventually entered the war anyway? If so, how long do you think that would have taken?
